Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Presales Consultant specializing in Splunk, Observability, Security, and Data Analytics solutions. Based in Johannesburg, you will lead presales engagements, drive partner enablement, deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs), and support ecosystem partners across the region. This position requires strong technical proficiency in Splunk platforms combined with strong client-facing solution engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Consulting: Engage with clients and partners to capture business and technical requirements across log management, security analytics, SIEM, and observability.
Architecture & Design: Propose and design scalable Splunk solution architectures, data onboarding strategies, use case implementations, and ROI value frameworks.
Technical Sales Support: Present value propositions, conduct live technical demonstrations, run hands-on workshops, and execute successful Proof of Concepts (POCs).
Implementation & Hands-on Tasks: Deploy Splunk environments (on-premise and cloud), integrate heterogeneous data sources (apps, cloud platforms, security tools, APIs), and perform troubleshooting.
Cybersecurity Advisory: Evaluate security postures, recommending monitoring, threat detection, and observability improvements grounded in Splunk best practices.

Required Qualifications
Experience: At least 4 + years in Presales / Solution Engineering focused on Splunk, SIEM, or observability platforms.
Domain Expertise: Solid grounding in cybersecurity fundamentals (SIEM, SOAR, threat detection) and IT operations monitoring.
Technical Mastery: Proven track record in Splunk architecture, data parsing, indexing, and dashboard design.
Skills: Strong presentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with a willingness to travel across Africa.

Splunk Core Certified Power User (Mandatory)
Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin (Preferred)
Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin (Added Advantage)
Splunk ITSI Certification (Added Advantage)
